Strictly Necessary
These cookies are essential for trimy to function. They cannot be disabled. They are used for authentication, session management, security (CSRF protection), and rate limiting. Without them, core features like signing in would not work.
Preference / Functional
These cookies remember your preferences such as your chosen theme (light/dark mode) and your cookie consent choice. They improve your experience by personalizing the interface.
Analytics

Payment
These cookies are set by our payment processor to enable fraud prevention and secure payment processing on subscription pages. They are governed by that provider's privacy policy.
3. Cookies We Set
trimy.io sets the following types of cookies directly on your device:
Authentication & Session (Necessary — up to 8 hours)
Keeps you signed in during your visit. Set only when you log in. Not accessible by JavaScript.
Security Token (Necessary — session)
Prevents cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks on form submissions. Not accessible by JavaScript.
Temporary Server Session (Necessary — 30 minutes idle)
A short-lived server-side identifier used to maintain state between page requests. Contains no personal data.
OAuth State (Necessary — ~15 minutes)
A temporary cookie used during social sign-in flows to prevent state-forgery attacks. Deleted automatically once login completes.
Cookie Consent (Functional — 6 months)
Stores your consent choice so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
Theme Preference (Functional — 1 year)
Remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode.
Anonymous Visitor ID (Necessary — 1 year)
A random ID used to count unique clicks on short links. Contains no personal data and is not linked to any account.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We use third-party services to help operate and improve trimy. These services may set their own cookies on your device, governed by their respective privacy policies. The categories of third-party cookies we allow are:
Analytics (Optional — only after consent)
Used to understand how visitors interact with our platform — pages visited, time spent, and traffic sources. These cookies collect anonymized, aggregated data and are only activated after you accept via our consent banner. You can opt out at any time through your browser settings or the consent management tool on this page.
UX Monitoring (Optional — only after consent)
Used to identify usability issues through anonymized session data and heatmaps. No personally identifiable information is captured. Only activated after you accept via our consent banner.
Payment Processing (Necessary on billing pages)
Set by our payment processor on subscription and billing pages for fraud prevention and secure checkout. These cookies are scoped to billing-related pages only and are not present elsewhere on the site.
5. Cookies on Short Link Redirects
When a visitor clicks a trimy short link, trimy does not set tracking cookies on the visitor's browser. The analytics data we collect (IP-derived location, browser, device type, referrer) is processed server-side and stored only in our analytics database for the link creator's use. We do not set third-party advertising cookies on visitors who click your links.
However, if a link creator has configured retargeting pixels on their links, third-party pixel scripts (e.g., Facebook Pixel, Google Ads) may fire in the visitor's browser. These are configured by the link creator and governed by the respective advertising platform's privacy policy.
6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several options for managing cookies:
Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit trimy, a consent banner is displayed. You can accept or decline optional analytics and UX monitoring cookies. Your choice is stored for 6 months. To change your preference at any time, use the "Manage Preferences" button at the top of this page or clear your browser's cookies for trimy.io and revisit the site.
Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Common paths:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data

- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent trimy from functioning correctly (e.g., you will not be able to sign in).
Opt-Out of Analytics and UX Monitoring
You can decline or withdraw consent for analytics and UX monitoring cookies at any time using the consent banner or the "Manage Preferences" button at the top of this page. Additionally, most browsers support disabling third-party cookies entirely through their privacy settings.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no industry standard for how DNT signals should be interpreted, trimy does not currently alter its behavior based on DNT browser signals. You can use the cookie management options above to control tracking.

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
