1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using trimy.io ("trimy", "we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and trimy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

trimy is an AI link intelligence platform that enables users to create, manage, and analyze links — including click tracking, campaign analytics, A/B testing, smart routing, QR code generation, and AI-powered insights.

If you are using trimy on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms, and "you" refers to both you and the organization.

2. Description of Services

  • URL shortening with custom short codes, password protection, and expiration dates
  • Advanced analytics with geographic, device, referrer, and UTM tracking
  • QR code generation with full customization
  • Campaign management and bulk URL creation via CSV
  • Team and organization collaboration with role-based permissions

  • Smart routing based on geolocation, device, OS, and browser
  • Retargeting pixel integration for advertising platforms
  • Custom domain support with SSL provisioning
  • Developer API access
  • AI-powered link suggestions, analytics narratives, and campaign health scoring (eligible plans)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where feasible.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or 13 in jurisdictions where 13 is the applicable minimum age) to use trimy. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are under the applicable age, you may not use trimy.

4. Account Registration and Security

When registering and using your account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate
  • Keep your password and API keys confidential and not share them with third parties
  • Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Not create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits or trial restrictions
  • Not use another person's account without their permission

trimy is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use trimy only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You are solely responsible for all content you link to through our service.

5.1 Prohibited URL Destinations

You may not use trimy to shorten or distribute links to content that:

  • Contains malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or any other malicious code
  • Facilitates phishing, credential harvesting, or other deceptive practices
  • Promotes or engages in fraud, scams, or financial deception
  • Constitutes illegal activity under applicable law
  • Contains hate speech, harassment, or content that promotes violence or discrimination
  • Distributes non-consensual intimate imagery or child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Facilitates spam, unsolicited marketing, or mass messaging campaigns without proper consent
  • Circumvents other URL shortener services (shortener chaining is blocked)

5.2 Prohibited Custom Short Codes

Custom short codes must not:

  • Contain keywords associated with malware, phishing, or social engineering (e.g., malware, trojan, verify-account, claim-prize)
  • Reference illegal content categories (drugs, weapons, fraud)
  • Contain shell commands or code injection patterns (exec, shell, bash, wget)
  • Impersonate trimy, our staff, or other trusted brands
  • Conflict with reserved platform routes

5.3 Prohibited Platform Conduct

You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to trimy systems, accounts, or data
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, rate limiting, or access controls
  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the platform except through our official API
  • Overload our infrastructure with excessive requests beyond your plan limits
  • Create fake clicks or artificially inflate analytics data

We actively monitor for policy violations and use automated tools including Google Safe Browsing and threat intelligence feeds. We reserve the right to immediately suspend links or accounts that violate these policies without prior notice.

6. API Access and Usage

If you use the trimy API, you additionally agree to:

  • Use API keys only for your own applications; do not share, publish, or expose API keys publicly
  • Respect published rate limits and monthly API call quotas for your plan tier
  • Not use the API to build a competing URL shortening service
  • Rotate API keys promptly if they are compromised
  • Include proper attribution in applications that display trimy branding

We may revoke API access at any time for violations of these terms. API call quotas reset monthly with your billing cycle: Free (750/month), Starter (75,000/month), Professional (350,000/month), Business (1,000,000/month).

7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payment

7.1 Plans and Pricing

trimy offers a Free plan and paid plans (Starter, Professional, Business) on monthly or annual billing cycles. Current pricing is available on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice.

7.2 Free Trials

Eligible paid plans include a free trial period: Starter (7 days), Professional (14 days), Business (14 days). One trial per user account. Trials are granted to the organization and may be subject to email domain verification to prevent abuse. Your payment method may be collected at signup but will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.

7.3 Billing

By subscribing, you authorize trimy to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until you cancel. All fees are billed in advance. Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment for 12 months of service.

7.4 Payment Security

All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Your complete card details are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive only: billing name/address, last four digits of the card, card type, and expiration date. You can manage your payment methods through Stripe's secure portal, accessible from your account dashboard. For more information, see Stripe's Security page.

7.5 Payment Failure and Grace Period

If a recurring payment fails, your account enters a 3-day grace period during which your current plan features remain active. We will send payment failure notifications and retry the charge. If payment is not resolved within the grace period, your account will be automatically downgraded to the Free plan. Your data is preserved during downgrade; you can reactivate by updating your payment method and resubscribing.

7.6 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to your paid features until then. After the billing period ends, your account will revert to the Free plan. Cancelled subscriptions do not automatically delete your data.

7.7 Refunds

All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge.

7.8 Taxes

Prices displayed may not include applicable taxes. You are responsible for all taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your jurisdiction in connection with your use of trimy.

8. Team and Organization Features

When using team collaboration features:

  • The organization owner is responsible for the conduct of all team members and for all content created under the organization.
  • Organization admins may view, edit, or delete URLs created by any team member within their organization.
  • Inviting a member to a team grants them permissions according to their assigned role (Viewer, Member, Admin, Owner).
  • Removing a member from a team revokes their access to that team's resources, but does not delete their individual account.
  • Team invitations expire after 7 days if not accepted.
  • The number of teams, members per team, and URLs per team is subject to your subscription plan limits.

9. Custom Domains

When using custom domains:

  • You must own or have authorization to use any domain you connect to trimy.
  • You are responsible for maintaining your domain registration and ensuring DNS records remain correctly configured.
  • You grant trimy permission to provision and manage SSL certificates for your domain for the purpose of operating the short link service.
  • If you stop using trimy, you are responsible for removing DNS records pointing to our infrastructure.
  • We reserve the right to disconnect custom domains that are used in violation of these terms.

10. Analytics Data Ownership

Click analytics data collected through your links belongs to you (as the link creator and data controller). trimy acts as a data processor for this analytics data on your behalf. You may export your analytics data at any time. Upon account deletion, we will delete your analytics data within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.

If you use retargeting pixels, you are acting as the data controller for the pixel data collected by third-party advertising platforms. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws, including obtaining required consent from your link visitors.

11. AI Features

When using AI-powered features (available on all plans including Free, with higher quotas on Professional and Business):

  • AI features are gated by your monthly subscription quota. Usage counts are reset at the start of each billing period.
  • AI-generated content is provided for informational and productivity purposes only. You are responsible for reviewing, validating, and using any AI output.
  • Do not submit sensitive personal data, confidential business information, or legally privileged information to AI features.
  • AI features are subject to availability and may be temporarily unavailable due to provider outages or budget limits.
  • We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue AI features at any time.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, trademarks, software, algorithms, and technology comprising the trimy platform are owned by trimy or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, create derivative works from, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of the destination URLs you shorten and any content hosted at those URLs. By using trimy, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store your URLs and associated metadata solely as necessary to provide the service.

13. DMCA / Copyright Takedown

If you believe that a trimy short link directs to content that infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to [email protected] including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  • The trimy short link URL directing to the infringing content
  • Your contact information (name, address, email, phone number)
  • A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  • Your electronic or physical signature

We will review and act on valid DMCA notices promptly.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

trimy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or available at any particular time.

While we scan destination URLs against threat databases, we do not guarantee the safety of content at any linked destination. You access linked content at your own risk.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, trimy and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to trimy in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50 if no fees were paid.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions or limitations, so the above may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless trimy, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you link to through our service.

17. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account settings or contacting us at [email protected].

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you: violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy; engage in fraudulent or illegal activity; pose a security risk to the platform or other users; or fail to pay amounts owed after the grace period expires.

Upon termination: your access to paid features is revoked immediately; short links created under your account will no longer redirect; your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion (except where retention is required by law). We are not liable to you or any third party for termination of your account.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware.

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes within 30 days.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and provide at least 30 days' advance notice via email or a prominent notice on the trimy website before the changes take effect. Your continued use of trimy after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the service and may cancel your account.
